​What began as a deep love for Africa, its wildlife and the stories whispered along the safari trails has grown into something I could never have imagined. Amari’s Safaris is now well on its way to becoming a growing collection of stories, blessings and adventures inspired by the magical world we call home — Africa. Four books are already available online, with five more making their way through the publishing journey. And the stories continue to arrive.
Some have come through the animals I have encountered. Some through the places I have travelled. Some through the children, families and wonderful people I have met along the way. And some have come in ways that have felt like beautiful gifts.

Two of the stories in the Amari’s Safari Collection have already found their way into new languages, German, through very special connections made along my safari journey. Whispers of the Wild has been translated by wonderful clients from Germany, while Sammy the Vervet Monkey has been translated by special clients from Switzerland who have travelled extensively with me throughout Southern Africa and have also supported my Social Outreach programmes in many meaningful ways. Both translations are now ready to begin their own journey to the publishers. To have people who have shared Africa with me carry these stories into their own languages is a gift I treasure deeply.  I feel incredibly blessed.

These are no longer simply stories I have written. They have become stories that are being carried, shared and embraced by people who have walked the African trails with me. And the stories keep coming...

The next story in the Amari’s Safari Blessings and Amari’s Safari Series has already been written. It is waiting patiently for those final little tweaks — until that quiet inner voice tells me: “It is time.” Then it will make its own journey to the publishers for editing and design.

And still, my hand keeps writing. There are more messages coming through, more stories waiting to be told, and more extraordinary places and creatures asking to be shared.  I don't always know where the next story will lead me. I simply know that when the words come, I need to listen. Because Africa has an extraordinary way of speaking to us — if we become still enough to hear.

Stories with a deeper purpose

At the heart of every Amari’s story are animal guides, moments in nature and a gentle lessons. Through the eyes of Amari and her animal friends and guides, readers are invited to slow down, notice the world around them and listen to what nature has to teach us. The stories are about wildlife and adventure, but they are also about kindness, connection, mindfulness, respect and the precious relationship we share with the natural world. And perhaps most importantly, they are about remembering that we are all part of this beautiful planet we call home.

A journey to share

From that Karoo girl with dust on her ankles, to teacher, outdoor educator, and safari guide, each chapter of my life has been stitched with Africa’s colours. What started as a love for wild places grew into decades of guiding, and now into a hand that simply keeps writing — shaping a collection of stories that carry connection, curiosity, and mindful moments to readers wherever they may be.  And Africa isn't finished whispering yet...
